  • Overview

    The Global Meeting Services provides data support and services covering markets worldwide including, but not limited to, US, Canada, United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. The team continuously monitors and obtains relevant information on all upcoming corporate action events specifically shareholders meetings where topics such as acquisitions, mergers and demergers, election of directors and auditors might be discussed. The relevant meeting results are also collected. The information collected is accurately   inputted in the database and this will be generated for clients to see. Collected information is also used by other teams for further data collection and research for the ultimate issuance of ISS Vote Recommendations.


    • Monitoring corporate action events such as shareholders meetings from various of sources like EDGAR, SEDAR and Stock Exchanges of each market
    • Procuring relevant meeting documentation (e.g. Annual Report, Notice of the Meeting, Information Circular, Proxy Form and other Corporate Governance documents) and contacting companies or issuers by email or phone for engagements to make sure that the most appropriate information is at hand
    • Collecting and reviewing meeting details such as, but not limited to, the date, type, record date, location, time, voting instructions, securities that have relevant voting rights to the meeting, valid vote options, market deadline date and Registrar details
    • Extracting the meeting agenda, coding and reviewing the same prior to it being made available to clients
    • Collecting and reviewing results of the meetings and inputting it to the database
    • Updating the team and relevant ISS manuals on any changes in the corporate governance landscape of the market assigned to him/her
    • Reviews relevant internal audit reports and provides end of day sign off to managers


    • Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or any equivalent/related course;
    • Proficiency in oral and written Mandarin
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience at minimum
    • Knowledge and experience in using MS Office;
    • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Strong skills in problem solving
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Understanding of corporate governance issues, corporate transactions and capital markets
