  • Overview

    ISS ESG is seeking for Product Manager (Ratings) to support our ESG Product Development team in Munich. The person is responsible for product management and development of the ISS ESG Rating products suite. This includes the management of the ongoing integration and harmonization process across existing rating products to create a cohesive, compelling, and competitively superior ESG Ratings product suite.

    The Product Manager also leads ISS’ ESG Helpdesk function through the form of supporting internal and external stakeholders who have data or methodology questions about ISS ESG Ratings and Research.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage product development as well as integration and harmonization efforts for the ISS ESG Corporate Ratings product suite
    • Solicit external market/client feedback through client consultations
    • Manage the integration of the harmonized ESG ratings products suite into client deliverables and ISS ESG’s platform
    • Develop detailed product requirement documents and specifications
    • Develop product illustrations and prototypes based on an understanding of the user experience
    • Create and continuously update a central repository for ESG products related documentation as well as sales and marketing materials
    • ESG Helpdesk: Manage incoming data, methodology, and product-oriented questions regarding the ISS ESG products, including owning a client support email box. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that every query is timely and accurately addressed

    Qualifications

    • 3 years of product management or related research experience
    • Knowledge of ISS ESG research products and processes. Good knowledge of the ISS-oekom Corporate Rating and/or ISS QualityScore highly desirable
    • Intellectually strong, with the desire and ability to quickly become a recognized content expert on the target products
    • Ability to engage professionally with issuers and colleagues either by telephone or in emails, on contentious matters when under significant time pressure
    • Occasional international travel to meet with other ISS stakeholders or clients
    • A strong work ethic and personal drive to achieve product and company goals
    • Strong project leadership skills, able to work well in a cross-functional team environment
    • Ability to work successfully in a global, diverse and multi-cultural environment
    • Absolute personal and business integrity
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop inter-personal relationships
    • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to follow-through independently
    • Market research, management, strategic and trend assessment skills
    • Product management, strategic planning, requirements writing, time-management, and launch presentation skills
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
