    Seeking a motivated finance professional with 5 years’ accounting experience, obtained preferably within an international environment. This role comprises many aspects of business finance, including the performance of monthly financial close duties and general accounting, balance sheet control, cash management and assistance with statutory financial statements preparation. The role will be in support of the EMEA Finance Team. August/September start is preferred. Competitive salary.

    Responsibilities

    This position will report to the Chief Accountant. Key aspects include the following:

    • Completing the monthly accounting close process for the German including general accruals and prepayments and other aspects of the financial close process;
    • Preparation of income statement and balance sheet analytics for Germany;
    • Operations of the regional bank accounts, Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting data for Germany for inclusion in the consolidated financial reporting package;
    • Assistance with preparation of the financial statements.

    Qualifications

    • An accounting qualification obtained from a recognized professional accounting organization. Excellent Knowledge of German GAAP is required. Knowledge of US GAAP would be advantageous;
    • Min 5 years’ experience spent either in accounting or in a relevant audit role, preferably within an international environment;
    • Strong analytical skills;
    • Extremely well organized, with a detail oriented approach and hard-working;
    • Stress resilient and flexible
    • Communications skills: business English, native German;
    • Excellent Excel skills in addition to experience of accounting ERP systems.
