    Corporate Governance Research Analyst (Singapore: Chinese-speaking)

     

    ISS is seeking a few temporary full-time Research Analysts for 2018 proxy season. This position will be based in Singapore, and would mainly cover Taiwan and potentially mainland China markets.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze corporate governance and financial information to process data and write research reports on publicly traded companies mainly in Taiwan, and occasionally mainland China;
    • Issue proxy vote recommendations for shareholder meetings of the companies mainly listed in stock exchanges in Taiwan, and occasionally mainland China;
    • Develop market expertise in corporate governance, investment, and shareholder issues gathered through research and potential engagement with company executives, institutional investors, and government/regulatory/listing authorities.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Management Science or any related fields, or equivalent experience;
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in Chinese (both simplified and traditional) and English;
    • Able to work independently and in a team environment, as well as under tight deadlines;
    • Analytical and detail-oriented, have a keen sense of judgment, and be goal-oriented;
    • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks;
    • Proficiency in the use of web-based and Microsoft Office applications;
    • Passion for corporate governance research;
    • Experience and knowledge of corporate governance and proxy voting issues is preferred;
    • Eligibility to work is required (Singapore nationals/PRs)
