Overview

The role provides consultative and advisory services centered on executive compensation and corporate governance to senior executives at the world’s largest companies, across key Asian markets. The role involves working on client-facing projects, working in tandem with ICS personnel across the region and other markets. ICS’s proprietary data and tools are used to help companies understand how to evaluate and mitigate shareholder’s perceptions of governance risk.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting sales team members on business development activities including identifying prospective client needs and demonstrate the ISS Corporate Solutions value proposition.
  • Forming and sustaining ongoing relationships with senior client executives to understand their needs and provide them with advisory services and expertise on executive compensation and corporate governance trends and best practices.
  • Train, manage and support the existing accounts to maintain revenue through regular contact and outreach programs.
  • Analyzing client data and proposals to identify sources of concern to shareholders in executive compensation and corporate governance proposals.
  • Feedback product enhancements and research gaps to the US team to enrich and evolve our solutions within Asia.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory/policy changes as well as strong trends or changes in the market for specific hot topics about Governance and Executive compensation e.g. ESG issues, and Board evaluation and diversity, Say on Pay etc.
  • Help build up the ICS’s strong brand and awareness as a reputable and trusted Governance and Executive Advisor within Asia.
  • Assist corporate advisors on equity plan requests, director independence issues, shareholder proposals, and other matters that may require shareholder approval
  • Produce client-ready deliverables as requested by issuer clients and ICS colleagues
  • Support ICS sales team members to identify prospective clients, along with their corporate governance needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, with Business or Finance focus preferred
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Team player and an excellent relationship builder
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated project management skills – defining of scope, resources and time lines, and managing to deliverables
  • Innovative, motivated, client-oriented, and commercially-aware thinker
  • Absolute personal and business integrity
  • Native Mandarin speaker
  • CFA charter holder preferred
