Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior ESG Research Analyst in Stockholm to lead our Controversy Watch team. The Controversy Watch team monitors the news across thousands of media, NGO and agency sources across the globe in order to identify, map and log corporate controversies involving publicly listed companies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Controversy Watch team, with analysts based in Stockholm and Manila, responsible for production of the highest quality research reports
  • Oversee and support the news acquisition
  • Monitoring, reading and processing hundreds of news articles a day to promptly identify and process companies linked to environmental and social controversies
  • Mapping corporate ownerships
  • Drafting news summaries

Qualifications

 

 Professional skills:

 

  • Graduate or postgraduate level degree (BA, MA, JD or other degree
  • Experience in contributing and leading a team would be desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in ESG/Responsible Investment
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent language skills, both written and oral (Required fluency in English; desirable fluency in Spanish, Arabic, Dutch, Italian or German)
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of data acquisition platforms is desirable
