We are currently seeking a hands-on, proactive, business-oriented Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at or Mumbai, India Information Technology center of excellence.  This role is a great mix of technology and teamwork with exposure to development and business teams designed to provide technical support, analysis, and solutions for production operations.


  • Manage system/software configurations and troubleshoot environment issues
  • Manage production hardware and software resources including coordinating maintenance and outages with infrastructure and business groups
  • Review/support tools for environment monitoring and analysis including system health and performance
  • Develop and grow environment analysis and presentation for business teams
  • Collaborate with development/software testing teams throughout the release process
  • Analyze and identify key areas for automation and optimization, including improvements in system performance, processes, and deployments
  • Development and maintenance of automated operational checks utilizing Python, Shell (Bash), as well as other scripting languages
  • Installation, configuration, and support for Nagios and Splunk systems


  • ITIL certification/training desired
  • Strong Python/Perl or Linux Scripting experience required
  • Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, fast learner
  • Good working knowledge of Linux system administration
  • Experience in Network/Application troubleshooting
  • Apache Proxy/Tomcat and/or Web Services experience preferred
  • Experience with Splunk, Nagios, Zend PHP, and APM (application performance monitoring) tools desired
  • Experience working with distributed teams located in other offices/time-zones
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 4+ years of experience in Application Support/System administration or other similar technical field preferred.
